STEAM CLEANING COMPOUND 300

This product is a Heavy Duty Steam Cleaning Compound powder for cleaning caked-on grease and grime from all types of motors and parts. Not to be used on aluminum.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

FOR METERING DEVICES: The compound should be thoroughly dissolved to give a concentration of approximately 6-8 ounces of compound per gallon of water, using the soap tank of the cleaning machine or in a separate drum outside the cleaning machine and then transferring to the soap tank of the cleaning machine. The compound must be added slowly, with caution in preparing the solution and not vice versa. Adjust the concentrate solution metering device to obtain the desired results. A nozzle concentration of 0.3 percent (0.4 ounces per gallon) is suitable for average cleaning. When a machine is shut down at the end of a shift, a "blovv-clown" is essential for retarding scale formation in the coil of the machines. FOR NON-METERING DEVICES: Use 1/2 ounce per gallon of water or 1 pound per 30 gallons of water.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN HANDLING: Wear goggles, face shield, rubber gloves and protective clothing. Avoid all contact with skin, eyes and clothing. While making solutions, add caustics slowly to surface of solution to avoid violent splattering. Do not mix with acids or solvents other than water. Avoid breathing fumes or mists. Use with adequate ventilation. Use approved respirator, if necessary. Do not induce vomiting. If swallowed, give 3 tbls. of vinegar or lemon juice in glass of water. Give as much additional fluid as possible, follow with milk of magnesia. In case of contact, flush profusely with water. For eyes, flush with water for at least 15 minutes. Flood with boric acid solution, Call a physician. CAUTION ! CONTAINS CAUSTIC SODA (SODIUM HYDROXIDE) CAUSES SEVERE BURNS.
